Nimbus ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information when you use the Nimbus app:
- Account data — your email address and display name, provided when you register.
- App content — goals, habits, milestones, and progress data you create inside the app.
- Usage data — XP, levels, streaks, badges, and gems earned through app activity.
- Purchase data — subscription status and transaction identifiers (we do not store full payment details).
- Crash & error data — anonymised crash reports and stack traces used to identify and fix bugs.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Nimbus app.
- To sync your goals and progress across devices.
- To manage your subscription and validate purchases.
- To send habit reminder notifications (only if you opt in).
- To diagnose and fix bugs and crashes.
- To generate AI-powered goal plans from your input (see Section 4).
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following trusted third-party services to operate the app:
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting. Your account data and app content are stored on Supabase infrastructure. Supabase Privacy Policy →

- OpenAI — AI goal generation. When you use the AI goal feature, your input is sent to OpenAI's API. We do not send personal identifiers to OpenAI. OpenAI Privacy Policy →
4. AI Goal Generation
When you use the "Create with AI" feature, the text you enter — including your goal description and answers to guided questions — is processed by OpenAI's GPT-4o model to generate a plan. We recommend not including sensitive personal information in your AI goal prompts.
5. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app via Settings → Delete Account.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. Data is shared only with the service providers listed above, solely to operate the app.
7. Children's Privacy
Nimbus is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can delete your account directly from within the app, or contact us at the address below.
9. Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Accounts are protected by Supabase authentication with Row Level Security. We follow industry-standard security practices, though no system can be fully guaranteed.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
